the haps.
Sorry for neglecting our blog. We have been having lots of fun and having many adventures! Faith came to stay for a week. We went to the pool, the beach, the temple, my parents', and had lots of fun! We love you Faith and are glad to have you as our best friend! You give all of your heart and soul to helping others and making them happy.

Matt's birthday was September 1st. He took the day off of studying for the boards to go to Disneyland with me and the boys. We actually stayed a record 4 hours and went on some rides that we haven't taken the boys on before. We went on Finding Nemo, and the Rocketships. Bentley is almost tall enough to ride the Matterhorn. Our amazing friend Bonnie came and babysat the boys so Matt and I could go to dinner and see a movie that night too. We went to Red Robin and saw GI Joe. It was awesome.

We spent a week at my parents' house. We got go to Blake's first birthday, play in the pool with cousins, go to a Labor day party at Aubrey's, see Matt's family, and I got to shop with my bff my mom without any kids!

Gaige found something fun to do. He opened the closet, sat on Matt's toolbox, and poked his fingers in the holes of the papertowel wrappers. I got the camera out to take a picture and he saw me so he said "cheese!" without even being prompted. Whatta cutie. He always surprises us and is becoming such a big boy. One more month and he gets to go to nursery. Then I will actually have to pretend to pay attention in church! He is so smooshy and a big charmer with those irresistable dimples. I swear he can get away with anything!

Bentley and Gaige love love love the pool. They are little fish that could swim around for hours. When we went to Aubrey's house Bentley went down the huge waterslide all by himself and jumped off of this little bridge that goes over the pool. He had so much fun playing with Melis' Jack and swimming with Aubrey. Miss Aubrey, we will be visiting your pool more often. You are such a great hostess and friend!

We also took the boys to the petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano. They got to hold and feed the guinea pigs and bunnies, feed cows, lamas, and horsies. We also got to see a real train stop by to pick up passengers. And then we met Grams and Grandad for lunch at Ruby's. They loved it so much that Bentley said he wanted to go eat, watch the train, and hold the bunnies the other day.

Bentley got a big boy bed. We went on Saturday and bought a twin bed for Bentley to sleep in. He has been climbing out of his crib forever and has been having a hard time staying in his crib to go to sleep at night. So we decided to get him a big boy bed. Unfortunately, we can't use the head and foot boards from the crib because they are meant for a full size bed, and we just don't have room for a full size bed in that tiny room. But he does have a blanket with skulls and crossbones on it that he calls his "pirate blanket" until I commit to some real bedding that matches what they already have.

Today was Bentley's first day of preschool. And it was my first day of teaching six 2-3 year olds for 2 hours. Bentley has been very excited to go to school with his friend Alex. He walked all the way to the end of the complex with his giant backpack on. And he got to be the flag bearer for the Pledge of Allegiance. He was a tad bit naughty, probably because I was the teacher today. He sure is cute with his giant backpack on! And he was very excited to tell his brother what he did at school.
