puddle jumpin'.

All this rain has brought lots of fun times playing in the puddles along with it. Bentley found this one long, muddy puddle and kept running through it over and over. And then he tripped and fell covering his front side with lots of browness. I consider myself an amazing mother when I can put my ocd tendencies away and let my toddler play in the mud!
cabbage patch kid.
So lately I've been told many times by lots of different people that Gaige looks like a cabbage patch kid. It's those big dimples, his irresistable smile, and square little face. He is way too cute! At the age of 10 months he has surpassed Bentley in weight by .1 lb. He weighs 24.6 lbs and can wear the same clothes as Bentley.
He loves the teeter totter, slide, and climbing nets. And he gets very excited to see all of the fun things his big brother can do. He thinks he should be able to do all of the same things. He can wave bye bye, give high fives, and loves to give kisses (often 10 or more in a row). And his giggles are the most precious sound to my ears. He loves his stuffed monkey that he loves to cuddle and kiss. And he eats his breakfast, Bentley's breakfast, and mine too. He would eat all day long if we let him. I love to squeeze him.

happy helper.

Bentley loves to sit on the counter and watch or help everytime I'm cooking something up. Though it can mostly get on my nerves, it is too cute that his favorite thing to do is hold the handmixer, with no help, and then lick the beaters. I have no idea why he likes cake batter so much! He has yet to try cookie dough, I don't think I'll get him started on that quite yet.

One of my bestfriends from college was in town and had some time to hang out before hitting a dance-a-thon at USC. We went to 3rd Street Promenade to hang out with the boys for a little bit. She helped me entertain them and even bought us some McDonald's for lunch as we sat and listened to the worst musician we've ever heard. Then Matt watched the boys so we could go see a chick flick. We had a great time and hope Aunt Aubs comes back soon. This picture is awful, but whatever.

rub-a-dub-dub.

We babysat Indi the other night so that Randy and Tiff could go out for Valentine's Day. It was bath night so we stuck all three kids in the tub. Bentley and Gaige are used to having somebody else in their tub, but Indi had to get used to it for a little while. After a couple of minutes she warmed up to the idea of having two boys in her tub and started putting bubbles in Bentley's hair.

We are defintely noticing a "love square"...Indi adores Bentley and thinks everything he does is hilarious, except when he takes her toys; Gaige adores Indi and likes to follow her around and play right next to her; and Bentley loves Tiffany and can't help but cry everytime she leaves him behind. Oh boy! We are going to have some serious issues when they move next month. I don't think any of us can live with out each other.

Gaige likes to eat the bubbles. Unfortunately he mostly chokes on them when he dunks his whole head in the water to eat them.

Happy Valentine's Day!

midterms.

I hate midterms. They drive me crazy. I was crazy once. They put me in a room. A rubber room. A rubber room with midterms! Yes. Last week Matt began studying for midterms and this week he has been studying for and taking midterms. For me this means no husband to talk to or even see. He comes home after the boys go to bed and continues studying. While I am pleased with his endeavors to become a great dentist and pass all of his classes so that he can provide for our family, I am still hating life right now.

The boys are finally over all of the sicknesses that they have had...knock on wood. But Bentley decided that today he would do everything I kindly and lovingly asked him not to do. This was very frustrating for me! He is still so cute and definitely uses that to his advantage as he flashes a debonair smile as he commits his acts of naughtiness.

Gaige is walking along the couch and standing next to it with out touching it. He throws both hands in the air and waves them around when he is excited and he is learning to shake his booty. Yesterday he just seemed older to me and seems to be growing into boyhood a little too early. I also strongly believe that he has surpassed Bentley in weight. He is so happy to crawl around and play with his brother and DiDi (Indi). And he loves to shake his head back and forth, bonk it on the wall or your feet, and is fascinated with his shoe laces. He is very happy now that he is feeling better.

I am hanging in there with the help of my parents and Tiffany. I went down for a couple of days so that Matt could have the weekend to study with out any distractions from his crazy kids or perturbed wife. And Tiffany is always helping me with them...always.

So I will stop griping and post some pictures already from Janni, Marvin and Luke's stay. One more day of midterms!
