pumpkin patch.

Matt, Bentley and I went to a pumpkin patch in Beverly Hills. We didn't see any stars, but a friend of a friend of mine saw Nicolas Cage there. We met up with Mandy and her boyfriend Jeff. It took us about an hour to get there even though it is probably only 10 or 15 miles from our house. LA traffic sucks! It was fun and Bentley loved the hay and the pumpkins. It was free, but we did get our first LA parking ticket... $40! Worth the traffic and maybe even the parking ticket to hang out with Mandy and Jeff and take Bentley to his first pumpkin patch.Bentley cruisin around in a wagon. They also had a petting zoo there and lots of photo opps.
We are sitting inside of a large fake pumpkin with a mouse on top of it. As you can see I am starting to show and sporting my Halloween costume already. We put Bentley in his Halloween PJs that glow in the dark. And we got him some super cute converse.
He would rarely look up because he was so interested in the hay and the pumpkins. He tried to eat the hay a couple of times, but for the most part he just squeezed it in his hand. And he like to pat the top of the pumpkins.
Our LA tour guides took us to PinkBerry for the first time. Mandy is addicted to it. They take frozen yogurt (looks like the sweet kind but it is the plain stuff that comes out of the soft serve machine) and you get to pick fruit to top it...it doesn't sound that great, but it rocks!

britney or jaime?

So now that the news is out everyone thinks that I should be Britney Spears for Halloween. My babies come out way cuter than hers and my husband is hotter than K Fed. But, we have similar fertility issues....FERTILE.

halloween.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Why? Because I get to dress up, always something cute like a pretty witch or Barbie. And many of you have borrowed my clothes to dress up for Halloween (sorry, I've disposed of most of my Halloween attire due to a downsize in closet space). This year I have decided to be something new and different. What? The title of my Halloween character is Fertile Myrtle. What exactly does this costume entail? Well, it is actually quite simple. You just have to have a 7 month old on your hip dressed as a cute little bear and have another baby in your belly that is about 3 1/2 months old. What? Yes, yours truly is pregnant again! Emotions encountered so far include astonishment, inadequacy, excitement, and they are many more waiting in queue to be felt.
I do have to admit that a few months ago I had a conversation with a friend and expressed my wonderment of why people have babies one after the other. Why would you want to get pregnant when you haven't even lost all of your weight from the last pregnancy? 7 pounds left and knocked up again. That really is my only concern. Otherwise, we are excited. Really, what else do I have to do? (I've been saying and thinking that a lot about everything lately.)
After seeing this cartoon I totally will be accepting gift certificates to plastic surgeons! And this counts as a picture of me with my new short hair because this cartoon girl reminds me of me, if I was a skinny cartoon girl!

"BUBBA" JOHNSON IS DUE APRIL 19TH. When is Bentley's birthday? April 2nd!

why did i do it?

Some of you are probably wondering why I decided to dramatically change my hair after having long hair for the past 15 years. Well, it was getting too long and, if you remember from an old post, it is falling out from post pregnancy. It was time for a bigger change than color and layers. Because let's be real, I am a better blonde than brunette and blonde is me. My hair grows so fast that it will be long again in no time so I just went for it. It has taken me a couple of weeks to get used to, but it is so low maintenance that I love it. That doesn't necessarily mean that I will be keeping it short, but it is good for now. So do something fun with your hair because IT WILL ALWAYS GROW BACK! Besides, I sold my truck and I can't get that back, but the hair can always grow back. I'll post a closer picture when I actually like one that is taken of me.

disneyland.

Bentley went to Disneyland for the first time. Yes, at 6 months, one week, and 1 day he went to the happiest place on earth. We went with our friend Jen and her son Davis and decided to get season passes because what else do we have to do? Matt asked if Bentley liked Disneyland. I told him that Bentley is excited about life and was happy to just be out of the apartment. We went on Pirates, It's a Small World, Jungle Cruise, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Snow White, and the Haunted House. They just redid Pirates and it now features Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbosa. It has always been my favorite ride and now it's even better with the nostalgia of the movie and the reminder of Johnny Depp's hottness. If you can tell, I chopped my hair. It is just below my shoulders and has taken me a little bit of time to get used to.

sleeping bug.

So stinkin' cute that I can't even stand it!

grandad.

Bentley loves his Grandad. When we moved up to LA my parents were in Utah and didn't come back until the end of September. When they got home they called us and Dad told me that he looked everywhere but couldn't find Bentley. They miss him so much. And Bentley misses them. All Grandad has to do is look at him and he giggles.

football.

Yes, it is football season. And we spend a lot of Saturday and Sunday watching football. It's a good thing that I like watching football (on TV only-I hate going to the games). Bentley seems to enjoy watching it too, as you can tell in this picture he is just like his daddy.

home.

I finally took some pictures of our apartment. There aren't any of Bentley's room yet because I just haven't figured out what I'm doing in there yet. Bentley adores his mobile. His legs kick, he giggles and screams with excitement when we put him in his crib to take a nap.

I am still getting used to the area. Let's be real, having to park far far away, lug a baby, diaper bag, and anything I buy from the car and up 2 flights of stairs detours me from going out much. We have been going out on walks and watching the bigger kids play on the playground right outside of our building. I'm meeting some cool people, now I just have to devise a plan to get them to quit their jobs and hang out with me all day! I guess I'll just have to drop Bentley off at their apartments so that they start getting baby hungry! It turns out that I actually knew some people that are in our new ward already from the Big BY. Who would have thought that I would know people?

So what have I been doing exactly? I find myself becoming disgruntled often when watching Fox News, accidentally overhearing The View, and even when watching 10 Years Younger. What is my problem? First of all, I think it is absolutely insane that people even think it is an option to raise the price of gasoline 50 cents/gallon to pay for global warming! It isn't going to stop anyone from driving just as much as they do now (people are on the streets begging for money to pay for their cigarettes no matter what the cost), and the price of everything else will go up because the companies have to deliver their products and that gets passed onto the consumer. STUPID! And don't even get me started on The View! Even though Rosie is gone I still can't watch it because of comments like this, "Why do children need to learn religion while they are young, isn't that just brainwashing? Can't you just wait until they get older and let them figure it out?" I'm raging inside due to that comment. That is exactly why the world is the way it is today, lady! Anyways, at least my morals, intelligence, and political views are still being reconfirmed daily. Love Ya!
