thirty.

Yup, it's true. I am officially thirty! I got a little worried when the week before my birthday was a little bit rough. Bentley got a virus which had him tossing cookies for 5 days, I rear ended a car causing lots of damage to Daddy's caddy, and Gaige ate it at the playground and had to get stitches. I was hoping this was not an indication of how my thirties were going to be.

Despite the crazy week before my birthday my birthday ended up being a smash! The night before my birthday I celebrated with Jenna and Lauren. Jenna's birthday is the same as mine and Lauren's is a few days later. We celebrated by having a Barbie party where all of our friends came dressed as Barbie. We made lip gloss and lollipops and had lots of fun!

On Friday I drove down to my parents' house to have a relaxing and fabulous weekend with my mom and sister. We went to the La Costa Spa in San Diego which was amazing. My fabulous friend Joselyn took me there a couple of years ago so I had to share it with my sister and mom. We had massages and relaxed by the pool.

Afterward we met our dad for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We pretty much had to duct tape his mouth so he wouldn't complain to the manager about how bad the service was! It was really hard for him, but he managed to get through dinner just because it was our birthday. And the service was terrible but it was super fun to make my dad squirm all night! Thanks for not embarrassing us, Dad!

On Saturday we did a little more shopping and then went to the Newport Beach Temple. Then we met Cora and Shannon for dinner at Fred's afterward. Mom bought this crazy french cake that was super chocolatey and pretty. Happy Birthday to Shannon, too!

So my thirtieth birthday turned out pretty amazing thanks to all of my friends, family and especially my husband who took the kids all weekend to give me a break. Thanks for making my birthday so special, everyone!
