feeling moved.
We have now lived in our new place for 2 weeks! We love it. The entire first day here the boys just played on the stairs all day, something they've never had inside their home. We also have a room with a whole wall of built in shelves and they love to go into the "book room" and read their books. They thoroughly enjoyed it when Matt caught the little frog in the backyard that was making a whole lot of noise at night. We released it the next morning at the golf course. They love watering the plants in the backyard, killing the ants and spiders back there, and watching the praying mantises (so cool!). Our pool is only 1/2 a block away. And we get to hang out with cousins, grams and grandad, and aunts and uncles all of the time.
Matt and I are both very glad we chose to live in SJC. He is close to work, we are close to family and the freeway, our neighbors are super nice, and the boys never get tired of seeing the trains go by (they get excited every time!). And we've been to the beach at least 4 times this past week.
So anytime you are coming through we'd love to have you stop by and hang out. Some of our favorite friends already have (they loved the stairs too)!

dinner talk.
Last night during dinner Matt called Gaige "jabber pants" because he wouldn't stop talking. His comment provoked the following responses:
Bentley: "Don't call Mommy dragon pants!"
Gaige: "Just call me Gaige."
We tried to teach them how to say San Juan Capistrano because we are moving there on Saturday. This is how they say it:
Bentley: "Sandy Juan Crapistrano"
Gaige: "San Juan Labalanana" (He just gives up on the last word."
So there you have it! The Johnson family is moving to Sandy Juan CRAPistrano - though we don't feel like it is crappy at all!
So since I haven't posted anything for awhile here is what we've been up to the last couple of months...
For Gaige's birthday we went with some friends to see the movie Rio. The kids loved it! We are so lucky to have great friends to celebrate with. Sloane, Nicholas, Ryker, Clare and Shea came!Jenna put together the Easter Egg Hunt this year. The kids had so much fun finding easter eggs. Bentley is really good at finding eggs these days. He even knows to get the big ones because they have Skittles in them. The boys filled there baskets within seconds and I had to make them put the extras back. And of course they didn't eat any lunch, just candy.
Easter Sunday.
We went to the beach with Aunt Janni and Shannon. I dug a huge hole and the kids played in it for a very long time. Especially Shane, he loved the hole.On June 5th Matt graduated from dental school. Hurray! He had an entire cheering section - His mom, Richard, Carrie, Lori, Barbara, Heather, Jerry, baby Violet, Alayna, Kaylee, Madison, and my parents came to the ceremony. We were all a little thrown off when the called his name as David Matthew Johnson. He graduated Kum Laude and received a plethora of other awards at the award ceremony a couple of nights before. We are all so proud of him!
After graduation Matt and I went to Las Vegas for a couple of nights to celebrate. By celebrate I mean eat great food and lay out at the pool all day! The boys spent 3 days with my parents so we could go. The morning before we left Bentley informed me that he was ready for me to leave. And when we got back he told me we could have stayed longer. What a brat!
We got to go to dinner with some of our favorite friends that we miss so much. Nate and Tara Morris and Tyler and Nicole Hammond met us at Metro Pizza. It was fun catching up and spending time with our very fun friends.
The girls were desperately in need of a night out so we headed to the Grove, window shopped and got some cheesecake at the The Cheesecake Factory. We all agreed that we should have done this more often. I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many fabulous friends.
