conference.

For General Conference we had breakfast with the Hoovers. Ava and the boys had lots of fun playing together. And we had lots of laughs as the boys ran around being crazy the whole time. They are definitely little show offs when we have company. They treated Ava like a princess and fed her raspberries and watermelon until she couldn't fit anymore in her mouth. Ava is the cutest little thing and we had lots of fun with Kelli and Austin too. It's just too bad that she has horrible teenage parents that don't dress her...just kidding!

more fun.
The last week of Matt's vacation the boys were a little bit sick but we still managed to do some fun things. We went to Disneyland again, but this time we went with the Floods which was tons of fun! We also visited "Mother's Beach" in Marina Del Rey with the Floods and the Jensens. And best of all we went to the Long Beach Aquarium which is Bentley's new favorite place on Earth. Both of the boys, and Matt and I, had lots of fun. We pet sharks, sting rays, sea stars, sea cucumbers, anemones, and sea urchins. We watched the sea lions and seals, saw turtles, crabs, and lots of different fish. And we fed the birds. Bentley cried when we left after being there for four hours. He wanted to see more fish and whales! He even saw a Dory fish and Daddy fish. He was so excited that he went over and grabbed some random lady's hand, took her over to the fish and told her about Dory fish and Daddy fish. He talks about them every day. He says, "Dory, and Daddy fish, and whale." All in all, the whole family loved it and it brought back some great memories for Matt and I.

the haps.
Sorry for neglecting our blog. We have been having lots of fun and having many adventures! Faith came to stay for a week. We went to the pool, the beach, the temple, my parents', and had lots of fun! We love you Faith and are glad to have you as our best friend! You give all of your heart and soul to helping others and making them happy.

Matt's birthday was September 1st. He took the day off of studying for the boards to go to Disneyland with me and the boys. We actually stayed a record 4 hours and went on some rides that we haven't taken the boys on before. We went on Finding Nemo, and the Rocketships. Bentley is almost tall enough to ride the Matterhorn. Our amazing friend Bonnie came and babysat the boys so Matt and I could go to dinner and see a movie that night too. We went to Red Robin and saw GI Joe. It was awesome.

We spent a week at my parents' house. We got go to Blake's first birthday, play in the pool with cousins, go to a Labor day party at Aubrey's, see Matt's family, and I got to shop with my bff my mom without any kids!

Gaige found something fun to do. He opened the closet, sat on Matt's toolbox, and poked his fingers in the holes of the papertowel wrappers. I got the camera out to take a picture and he saw me so he said "cheese!" without even being prompted. Whatta cutie. He always surprises us and is becoming such a big boy. One more month and he gets to go to nursery. Then I will actually have to pretend to pay attention in church! He is so smooshy and a big charmer with those irresistable dimples. I swear he can get away with anything!

Bentley and Gaige love love love the pool. They are little fish that could swim around for hours. When we went to Aubrey's house Bentley went down the huge waterslide all by himself and jumped off of this little bridge that goes over the pool. He had so much fun playing with Melis' Jack and swimming with Aubrey. Miss Aubrey, we will be visiting your pool more often. You are such a great hostess and friend!

We also took the boys to the petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano. They got to hold and feed the guinea pigs and bunnies, feed cows, lamas, and horsies. We also got to see a real train stop by to pick up passengers. And then we met Grams and Grandad for lunch at Ruby's. They loved it so much that Bentley said he wanted to go eat, watch the train, and hold the bunnies the other day.

Bentley got a big boy bed. We went on Saturday and bought a twin bed for Bentley to sleep in. He has been climbing out of his crib forever and has been having a hard time staying in his crib to go to sleep at night. So we decided to get him a big boy bed. Unfortunately, we can't use the head and foot boards from the crib because they are meant for a full size bed, and we just don't have room for a full size bed in that tiny room. But he does have a blanket with skulls and crossbones on it that he calls his "pirate blanket" until I commit to some real bedding that matches what they already have.

Today was Bentley's first day of preschool. And it was my first day of teaching six 2-3 year olds for 2 hours. Bentley has been very excited to go to school with his friend Alex. He walked all the way to the end of the complex with his giant backpack on. And he got to be the flag bearer for the Pledge of Allegiance. He was a tad bit naughty, probably because I was the teacher today. He sure is cute with his giant backpack on! And he was very excited to tell his brother what he did at school.

Bentley.

Bentley is now 28 1/2 months old. He loves to play in the pool, but unless it is a hot tub he is always "coed". This means he gets in and out of the water a lot. He also loves to go to his friends' houses to play and can now say all of his friends' names. He also likes to point out their mommies and daddies while we are at church.

He has started crawling out of his crib. This means that there have been many naptimes spent getting in and out, playing with toys, giving his brother toys to play with, etc. So not only is he skipping his nap, he plays with Gaige so that Gaige misses his nap too. This stresses their mommy out!

He and Gaige play together a lot. They like to wrestle, jump on the couch, play with their trains, talk underneath the door and play peek a boo.

Bentley loves pirates. He sees pirates and pirate ships every where we go. He also breaks into his own rendition of the pirate song too. "Yo ho pirates me! Arrrr!"

Gaige.

He is now 16 months old. Gaige loves to do whatever his brother is doing. Last night at dinner they were sitting across from each other at their little table and Bentley started shaking his head. Then Gaige followed and they sat there for several minutes shaking their heads back and forth giggling. My dad said that I have a 2 year old and a want to be 2 year old, that's hard! Gaige gets frustrated when he can't do all of the things his brother can, but he sure is trying hard. And he thinks every thing his brother does is great.

Gaige loves to run around naked. As soon as he gets out of the tub he tries to run. And to tell you the truth, I let him because he has to be the cutest naked baby ever! His legs and bottom are so plump it is adorable when he runs around!

Gaige has been very cuddly lately and will sit on my lap to watch a movie so he can cuddle with his blanky, monkey and suck his thumb. I'm sure he will soon grow out of his cuddly baby stage so I am trying to get as much of his loves while I possibly can.

Gaige's answer to almost everything is "Yaaaaaa!" It is too cute when he pairs it with his irresistable dimples. He will walk around saying "ah ah ah" if he wants his monkey. He is at the mischevious age where he knows what he is doing is naughty and smiles and runs away.

summer vacay part 2.

Back in July most of my family got together at my parents' house. My brothers Garic and Brick came with their families and with Trace and I close by with ours my parents had a full house. Matt went back to school, but I didn't want to miss out on anything so the boys and I stayed at my parents with everybody else. We went to Disneyland with Garic and his family one day, took they boys to a movie for the first time, and had lots of fun in the pool.
Where did all of these people sleep? It was like a giant sleepover. Gaige and Bentley slept in my parents' huge closet, the boys slept in the TV room, Allie slept in my room, and the rest of the bedrooms were packed too.

It was a lot of fun for the boys to play all day everyday with their cousins that spoil them to pieces. Kali and Bentley became good buddies and Bentley wanted her to ride in the car next to him everywhere we went. Bentley also had a ton of fun playing video games and legos with the big kids.

Garic took his family, Bentley, Gaige and I to see the movie Ice Age 3. I was surprised that Bentley loved the movie. He sat on Aunt Nici's lap the entire time eating popcorn and saying "Wow!" Gaige sat on my lap and mowed throught he popcorn for most of the movie. He only got restless for the last 20 minutes.

I love to see the boys play with all of their cousins who absolutely adore them. All of their cousins are such great examples, and definitely know how to have fun!
