11 weeks and still a charmer.

allison and britain.

Our good friend Allison and her daughter Britain came to town. We went to visit them and had tons of fun playing with them. Allison and I decided that Britain and Bentley will get married and that way we won't have any in law problems. It was great to see them. They are both beautiful!

santa barbara.

Matt, Bentley and I drove to Santa Barbara for Lindsay's goodbye party. She is leaving CA to go to medical school. Jane and her man Brian were there too! We spent the day at the park and ate some fabulous bbq, thanks to Seth. Then they played 'sloshball.' Sloshball, for those who aren't familiar with it, is kickball with a few different rules. Everyone in the field must be holding a can or cup of beer making it more difficult to catch and throw the ball. Once the kicking team gets to second base they must chug a beer before the next player gets to second base. If they do not successfully finish their beer and start to run to third by the time their teammate gets to second base they are out. Matt and I were definitely not sloshed. Matt ran from second to third while pouring his Pepsi into his red cup!

After the park we went out with Matt's brother Jerry and his fiancee Heather. Bentley adores his uncle and soon to be aunt. They spoiled him with gifts and we all had dinner together.

the fourth of july.

We drove down to La Jolla to spend the holiday with our best friends Ryan and Joselyn (and their little dog Matty). We had a pancake breakfast with them and then went down to Coronado to the beach. It was Bentley's first day at the beach. He chilled in his tent, had lunch on the beach, and dipped his toes in the water. At first it was a little too cold for his liking, at least that is what we derived from the scrunchy frowny face he made when the water shwished through his chubby toes. He is still a very white baby... interesting that I got the white baby and Janni got the tan one! Then we went to dinner and watched a movie. A fun filled 4th of July. We headed back home early, but don't worry, we saw a great firework show as we cruised up the freeway!

uncle garic.

My brother Garic and his family arrived early Tuesday morning. His 4 girls and 1 boy have kept us pretty entertained and give me an excuse to color, watch cartoons and do all of the other little kid things I love to do. Garic snuggled with Bentley on the couch so that he could get him to take his nap. I guess Bentley is a pretty great snuggler because he put his Uncle Garic to sleep too!

It looks like you guys have been doing a bunch of fun stuff. Soon your little one will be trying to eat all the sand at the beach. I know Tanner would.
