the flu.
Yup, that's right, the boys have had the flu for about a week now. It all started when I went to get them out of their cribs one morning and Bentley's crib was full of remnants from his dinner the night before. He just pointed at it to let me know it was there and then went on with life. I put both boys in the tub and cleaned up the mess. Then I gave Bentley his milk...whatta mistake. He chunked it all over the floor multiple times leaving our carpet with a fabulous smell. He didn't cry and was not even bothered by what had happened. Needless to say, the flu sucks! Thank goodness for Gatorade and crackers.
We spent the last 5 days at my parents' hanging out with them and Janni, Marvin, and Luke. You'll have to wait for the pictures (I didn't have my camera). We went to Taco Tuesday with friends, went to the beach, swam in the hot tub, played at the park, ate at Beach Cities Pizza, and watched 24!
Which brings me to my next topic...24. I'll admit I am actually very surprised that it is as good as I remember it to be. Since pregnancy most of the food I love at the restaurants I love does not taste half as good as I remember. This season seems to promise the usual nail biting, knuckle gripping, heart pumping anxiety and excitement. Yeah for Jack Bauer! And if I don't answer my phone or door on Monday night it's because 24 is on. I'm even thinking of ditching out on a girls night because that is just how obsessed I am and I am much too poor to subscribe to DVR.

7 people love me:
Oh Holy Flu! That totally stinks. I hope that you were healthy throughout the whole ordeal. Everytime my daughter gets the flu, I seem to get it a few hours later. Nothing is better than making it a family event.
The family that pukes together, stays together... or something like that. Glad it's over for this year!
Hope the boys are feeling better. And we have DVR so you can totally come over here to watch it anytime and then you can go to your girls night.
Hey Jaime
We were so sorry to hear about the boys being sick. We missed seeing you yesterday at your parents house. Alexa and I have now started blogging! We are so exicited. Check it out at tracepowerfamily.blogspot.com
Ok, DVR is not that expensive, we need to talk. :-) And I'll record 24 whenever you need, then you can come watch over here. Party! :-) I like the new look and thanks for the plug. :-)
I love Jack, it is that good!
i am sooo sorry. That is the worst. sick kids are not easy. I wish I was there to give you a hug.
Hey girl! Ha, I totally deleted the comment you left me on accident (well sort of...). You were signed in under Matt's ID, so I was like who the heck is Matt?!! I deleted it, and I thought I was gonna have to make my blog private for a second there...lol! Anyways...
I hate when Madison gets the flu! She had it around Christmas and threw up all over me...yuck! I made the milk mistake as well...it wasn't pretty! My doctor gave her this amazing medicine that took her nausea away; it is a miracle drug!! Thank goodness for drugs!! :)
I wish Tyler liked 24, but he just hasn't ever been into it. I love it too! I rented it one year, and got so addicted!! I wish I had DVR as well, but Tyler is too cheap to pay for it...ha! Maybe someday!!
