april 6th.

On Tuesday I went to the Dr for a check up. He told me within the last week I progressed from nothing to a 3 or 4 and 40 percent effaced. Then he checked the induction date - April 9th and I jokingly suggested that he could induce me sooner if he wanted to. On Friday his nurse practitioner called and said he scheduled me for two different dates and I could pick which one. So now I will be induced three days earlier on April 6th. This will be so much better since it is on a Friday and Matt will be home for the weekend. Plus I don't know how many more sleepless nights I can handle. The poor boys are enduring the wrath of a tired and grumpy mom. Not that I will be sleeping when she comes, but maybe I'll be sleeping more when I don't have this giant belly!

kind of famous.

Everyone at church has been asking for my autograph these days. You can see me, the boys and my belly on the front of the Church News. At first I checked it out online and thought it was just a small picture inside. Then my mom called and said my friend Becca and I were the entire front page! Oh goody! Here is the link....http://www.ldschurchnews.com/articles/62101/Visiting-teaching-Opportunity-to-minister-as-the-Savior-did.html.

confession.

I have been judgemental of all of you who bring their i-pads and smartphones to church. I guess I thought your kids were just playing games during sacrament meeting and just like to roll the old school way sometimes. Since acquiring my first smart phone this month I have converted! Why should I have to drag an entire bag of coloring books, crayons and paper to church when I can just get church apps for my kids to do in sacrament meeting? It is the exact same thing, I just don't have to carry everything! Plus the boys are always trying to watch the other kids play theirs and asking for a turn, which is oh so frustrating! Plus carrying 3 scripture cases and a bag of activities is getting old. We've already misplaced Gaige's scriptures and he has had them for only 3 months. So...I have converted and my boys are not playing Angry Birds in church. They are coloring church pictures =).

more funnies.

Gaige -

"Are you a boy or a girl?" he asked the little boy with shoulder length hair at the park.

"Why do flies eat poop? Maybe it's because they get to eat it for dessert after they eat all of their dinner."

He has also done some funny things but I won't write about them because they were not funny at the time...I actually cried because I couldn't believe he would actually do such things.

Bentley -

"Try harder." he said to Gaige when he was having trouble playing a game on a phone in the Sprint store last night.

"Dad you're slow!" when he kicked the soccer ball at the beach today and Matt didn't run to get it.

"Why are your legs so chubby?" He asked me at the pool the other day.

"It's not ok to call people fat, but it's ok to say it to your mom." he said to me. I disagreed.

"I love your big belly! I love fat people!" he said when he saw me in my sportsbra the other day (don't worry I wasn't working out).

"Why do flies eat poop?" I think they eat poop because they don't like to eat pee."

"How is your baby going to get out of your belly?" I pled the fifth.

more silly boy talk.

Gaige -
Says "you know?" after almost everything. I finally figured out where he got it from...me.

I asked him if he is excited to have a baby...
G - No
Me - Why not?
G - I don't want it to eat my food!

His favorite food is mashed potatoes with a pool (of gravy).

I asked him if he was happy he was going to have a sister.
G - No, I am not happy.

Bentley -

When we told him Matt got a job the first comment he made was, "Can we get Disneyland passes now?"

Calls "Fruit by the Foot" "Fruit by the Toe."

"You need to be a better mommy."

When I ask him if he is excited to have a baby sister..
B - I want a little brother. ( I don't think he realizes that he already has a little brother.)

"i don't wanna be growed up!"
The topic of conversation between the two redheads in the backseat has often been about growing up. Gaige has a huge oversion to growing up and Bentley can't wait. So they argue. The argument goes something like this:
G: I don't wanna be growed up.
B: But Gaige, if you don't grow up you can't win trophies and play sports.
G: I don't wanna be growed up.
B: But Gaige, if you don't grow up you can't be a daddy and have babies.
G: I wanna be 3, I am not going to be 4.
B: You have to grow up!
G: I am not growing up!
B: Yes you are!
G: No I'm not!
So we have Bentley who can't wait to grow up, win trophies, go to dentist school, get married in the temple, and be a daddy. And then we have Gaige who doesn't even want to be four years old! He also does not want to be a sunbeam. My parents got him a Book of Mormon with his name engraved on it and had him pick out a scripture case. He did not want the book and had to be convinced to pick out a case. Once in primary he didn't require Matt to stay with him and answered questions. My friend reported that the teacher told a story about something that made her sad and Gaige sad that when he spills his cereal (something he did that morning) and pees in his pants he is sad. Once in sharing and singing time he sat in his chair pretty much the entire time, and wanted to participate so badly! It took him awhile to notice that I was sitting in the same room. Once he realized he would look back and smile at me occassionally. He still says he does not want to be a sunbeam. He was adorable and I am so glad I got to see him in action on his first day of primary.
Bentley is super excited to be a CTR4. My parents got him a CTR ring that he keeps in the car so he can wear it to church. When first trying to say CTR4 he kept saying CT30, getting it mixed up with C3P0! He still has a hard time sitting in his chair, but answers all of the questions and loves to sing. He has a much better seat than he used to and doesn't need to stand in his chair anymore to see the speaker, teacher or chorister. And for some reason he thinks it is ok to take his shoes off in singing and sharing time! And he still gives me mean looks.
This week we managed to make it to the pool 4 days in a row! It has been so warm and the boys have been asking for weeks to go to the pool, even when it was super cold outside. So we did it. And it was great! The boys played and ate while I tanned my preggo chub reading a book. Not feeling so hot in my swimsuit, but there wasn't anyone there to judge me anyhow! Bentley mentioned that he wanted to live in Utah. When I explained to him that he couldn't go to the pool right now if we lived in Utah he changed his mind and said he'd like to live in California and just visit Utah. That's the plan, Bentley.
