disneyland.

Bentley went to Disneyland for the first time. Yes, at 6 months, one week, and 1 day he went to the happiest place on earth. We went with our friend Jen and her son Davis and decided to get season passes because what else do we have to do? Matt asked if Bentley liked Disneyland. I told him that Bentley is excited about life and was happy to just be out of the apartment. We went on Pirates, It's a Small World, Jungle Cruise, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Snow White, and the Haunted House. They just redid Pirates and it now features Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbosa. It has always been my favorite ride and now it's even better with the nostalgia of the movie and the reminder of Johnny Depp's hottness. If you can tell, I chopped my hair. It is just below my shoulders and has taken me a little bit of time to get used to.

sleeping bug.

So stinkin' cute that I can't even stand it!

grandad.

Bentley loves his Grandad. When we moved up to LA my parents were in Utah and didn't come back until the end of September. When they got home they called us and Dad told me that he looked everywhere but couldn't find Bentley. They miss him so much. And Bentley misses them. All Grandad has to do is look at him and he giggles.

football.

Yes, it is football season. And we spend a lot of Saturday and Sunday watching football. It's a good thing that I like watching football (on TV only-I hate going to the games). Bentley seems to enjoy watching it too, as you can tell in this picture he is just like his daddy.

They just keep coming out with the cutest stuff ever. Check out the cuddly scarves, hats and mittens, a super sassy wrap dress, and some cute blouses. Here it is!

home.

I finally took some pictures of our apartment. There aren't any of Bentley's room yet because I just haven't figured out what I'm doing in there yet. Bentley adores his mobile. His legs kick, he giggles and screams with excitement when we put him in his crib to take a nap.

I am still getting used to the area. Let's be real, having to park far far away, lug a baby, diaper bag, and anything I buy from the car and up 2 flights of stairs detours me from going out much. We have been going out on walks and watching the bigger kids play on the playground right outside of our building. I'm meeting some cool people, now I just have to devise a plan to get them to quit their jobs and hang out with me all day! I guess I'll just have to drop Bentley off at their apartments so that they start getting baby hungry! It turns out that I actually knew some people that are in our new ward already from the Big BY. Who would have thought that I would know people?

So what have I been doing exactly? I find myself becoming disgruntled often when watching Fox News, accidentally overhearing The View, and even when watching 10 Years Younger. What is my problem? First of all, I think it is absolutely insane that people even think it is an option to raise the price of gasoline 50 cents/gallon to pay for global warming! It isn't going to stop anyone from driving just as much as they do now (people are on the streets begging for money to pay for their cigarettes no matter what the cost), and the price of everything else will go up because the companies have to deliver their products and that gets passed onto the consumer. STUPID! And don't even get me started on The View! Even though Rosie is gone I still can't watch it because of comments like this, "Why do children need to learn religion while they are young, isn't that just brainwashing? Can't you just wait until they get older and let them figure it out?" I'm raging inside due to that comment. That is exactly why the world is the way it is today, lady! Anyways, at least my morals, intelligence, and political views are still being reconfirmed daily. Love Ya!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a long time. I have been checking in on all of you, but haven't had anytime to post anything about us. Here is what we have been up to.

matt's birthday.
We layed out at the pool and then went over to Matt's sister's for a barbecue. His brother and his fiancee came down from Santa Barbara, his mom came from Havasu, and 2 of his sisters came from Temecula. We had lots of fun. Here is a picture of all of the girls.

labor day.

For Labor Day Ryan and Joselyn came up from San Diego to hang out with us for the day. We went to one of my favorite places for lunch, Beach Cities Pizza. I haven't had any breadsticks all summer and then once we went on Labor Day I had to go back another time a couple of days later. We used to go almost everyday in high school for lunch. I honestly can't tell you if their pizza is any good, or anything else they have there, but their breadsticks and ranch rock! Anyways, we were going to go to the beach afterwards but we couldn't find a parking place...so we just went back to the house and played in the pool. Always a good time with the Gundersons.

byu vs ucla.

Our friends Dan, Lydia and Kaitlyn flew out to stay with us for the weekend. Matt and Dan went to the game. I guess they kept showing Matt on channel 5 in Utah because Shalee called and said that Chet saw him. Kaitlyn and Bentley had a good time playing. As for Lydia and me, we had a great time relaxing! After 8 or 9 years of football games I was happy to watch the last half on TV.

the pool.

Matt and I lived it up this last week, the week before school and the move. We layed out, layed out, and hung out. Bentley hearts the pool. He gets so excited and flails his arms and legs and splashes everywhere. We also went sportfishing out of the Dana Wharf. It is one of our favorite things to do together. The first time we went was the first summer we started dating 9 years ago. It was great to watch the sunrise, be in the sun, and TRY to catch some fish. Matt caught one keeper, a sand bass. And I didn't catch anything worth keeping. It was still fun anyways! My sister in law took Bentley for the day, thank you Leslie!

taco tuesday.

Our last Taco Tuesday at Fred's. Shannon and Eric, Jane, Michelle, Cora and Deron, and Colette and Jacob were there. Thanks for one last amazing Taco Tuesday. We love you guys, and miss you already.

We are now living in LA. And I can tell you that today was the longest day ever! Matt started orientation today and I stayed home and organized. Faith, will you please come soon and help me? I am trying to cram all of our stuff into this little place. It is cute, but now that we have brought the last of our belongings, I am wishing I sold more at our yard sale. I have so many clothes! Boooo! So if anyone is bored and wants to come hang out with me, please come!
