which disney princess are you?

Independent and adventurous. You don't want much; just to break out of the guilded cage society has put you in and experience life to the fullest. Following orders isn't really one of your strong points, and you would rather live a life of poverty than being forced into something that you hate. (Me in a nutshell!)

jaime's stroller fund.

Since I have two very small children I purchased a double stroller that the car seat snaps into...it is a BEAST! I am so used to the jogger that I had with Bentley that the puny little wheels that get stuck going over everything drive me insane! Not to mention that it weighs a ton! So I decided that I need another stroller. When I told Matt that I figured out which one I want and that it is only $700 he laughed at me. I really think I deserve to have an amazing stroller. Here are the reasons...

I HAVE TWO BABIES!

OK, just one reason but it is a very very good reason. Anyone with twins or two kids a year apart can understand and attest to my needs. Here is a picture of the stroller I want. If you would like to donate to the fund just send a check to 3191 S. Sepulveda Blvd #205, Los Angeles, CA 90034. Thanks!

It is the Phil and Teds Vibe. You don't even have to take the back seat off to fold it now! Awesome! I want it, i need it, oh baby, oh baby!

cuddle time.

Bentley loves to cuddle with his brother. He is so sweet to his brother and will even pat his hand while he is crying to try to soothe Gaige. Precious!

He also enjoys being reunited with the toys and other baby things he used to use back in his younger months. When we sit Gaige in this chair Bentley likes to move the mirror so Gaige can see it and play the music for him.

Oh, and Bentley loves pasta. He really can't get enough of it. Can you see how red his hair is in this picture?

boys, boys, boys...

Here are some pictures from when Faith came to visit. We appreciate all of her help! Even with her feeding, holding, and burping babies, changing diapers, cooking and cleaning, I still felt like I need 3 more people to help me raise these boys. She was a huge help and fun to have around as always! I feel bad that we didn't do much more than just take care of kids all day, but I don't do anything but that. It is a good thing they are easy on the eyes if I have to be with them all day every day!

boy #2

Bentley is now 13 1/2 months old and cruisin' around everywhere. He started taking steps when Gaige was born as my mom relentlessly walked him around everywhere. He sports his new Pediped shoes everywhere and loves them so much he tries to put them on himself and doesn't take them off like his other shoes. He loves his brother and gives him tons of kisses and cuddles everyday. He especially enjoys sticking his finger in Gaige's ears and nose. Bentley also loves music. He likes to make all of his toys that play music do their thing at the same time and then dances to the orchestra he has created. He loves to hammer, not just with his hammer, anything can be used to hammer. He also says "Amen", in his own little language, whenever we end our prayers. He is getting so big and is such a silly little boy. He laughs at himself frequently.

boy #3

Gaige is now 5 weeks old. He is very strong and can hold his head up very well. He also stands up with his legs. He has some tummy problems and we are trying to help out the poor kid by trying different formulas and such. He is very particular and likes to sit straight up so he can see everything. This means that I can't just set him down on a blanket, in his infant seat, or on the couch on his tummy. He wants to be held. Whatta a stinker! As you can imagine it makes life just a little difficult. Most of my day is spent with a toddler holding onto my pants as I walk slowly around the house holding a newborn and trying get stuff done. Aaaaargh! See why I need 3 people to help me? He has been on a pretty consistent schedule the last few days so we'll see if he sticks to it, that will help a ton. I have found that the most difficult thing about have the boys so close in age is when their schedules aren't staggered. It's hard to get them both out of bed and fed at the same time when one takes a bottle and the other thoroughly enjoys throwing all of his food on the ground!
I am very fortunate to live close to my parents and have so many friends that live just a few steps away. It is great to have a village to help me take care of my kids! I am surviving on just a little bit of sleep now that Bentley has decided to wake up as early as 5:30 am and I am still getting up once or twice a night to feed Gaige. Matt has been great about getting up to help. I still don't get to shower till noon most days, and I don't put make up on until right before Matt gets home. Our 10 year high school reunion is in a month so I have been going on walks every morning with my friend Tiffany and I started Nutrisystem last week. Yes, yet another diet to add to the list of the insane amounts of diets I have been on.

boy #1

Matt is doing well in school. He has 2 weeks off after this quarter and then another 3 in September. So he gets to go to school all summer long. He studies a ton and has been very very busy with school. He does let me out quite a bit to go to baby showers, resident association meetings and other stuff I have going on. I think he appreciates me more when I leave him with the two boys. It's going to be quite a bit different than last summer at the Power Resort and Spa. Oh how wonderful a trip to the spa and a day off from life sounds right about now!

family pics.

Yes, it has been awhile since I have posted anything. Gaige is now almost 4 weeks old and we can't believe how quickly time is flying by. Bentley loves his brother and gives him tons of kisses, cuddles, and smacks. Being a mother of two babies is not as bad as I had imagined as long as I stay in my apartment complex and don't drive anywhere. The kids are great in the stroller so we have been going on walks and walking to the grocery store as usual.

As for sleep, the lack thereof is definitely catching up with me. Gaige still only wakes up twice a night and occasionally he doesn't want to go back to sleep, but I still feel like I've been hit by a truck. Luckily Faith is here for a week and making sure that I get my daily naps.

This is what we've been up to....

My mother in law came to stay for 2 days and Matt's sister and her daughters came up to meet Gaige last week.

We stayed at my parents' last weekend and had a fabulous Mother's Day. My dad kept telling my mom that she was the mom and kept asking her why she bought me so much stuff. Yes, my mom spoils me.

Faith came Monday morning and she has been helping me take care of the two kidlets. I haven't taken her to see very much because it is such a huge ordeal to go anywhere!

So that is what we've been up to...so long for now.
