11 months old.

Bentley's scary scrunchy face.

Another month has flown by and Bentley is now over 11 months old. I cannot believe we will be having his 1st birthday party soon. I am already trying to decide what kind of cake to make him.

Bentley comes up with something new each day. Since he constantly chews on our coffee table, rocking chair, and trashcan, we find ourselves outside for at least a couple hours every day. We have a playground right outside our door and have met lots of fun neighbors to hang out with there. He mostly just crawls around, chases after bugs, watches the airplanes overhead, sticks leaves and sticks in his mouth, and watches the bigger kids play. He likes to go down the slide on his tummy, swing, teeter totter, and crawl up everything. Mostly I am just working on my tan and removing things from his mouth!

The last couple of days he has enjoyed throwing things. He throws all of his food and sippy cup on the ground and watches where they land. He also throws all of the toys out of a basket and then throws them back in, often entertaining himself for half an hour doing so. He also likes to take all of the dirty clothes out of the laundry basket. Now I understand why people use hampers!

March is a very busy month for us...
My LA friends threw me a baby shower on the 1st.
I threw a friend a baby shower on the 8th.
I'm hosting another shindig on the 12th.
Helping plan a Relief Society Birthday Dinner the 14th.
Matt has finals the week after that.
Easter.
A week at my parents (Matt gets a week off of school).
Bentley's birthday.
Then maybe I'll have a baby!

The shower my friends threw me was awesome. I got tons of cute stuff for the new baby and I am so grateful to be surrounded by so many amazing women!

My pregnancy has gone by very quickly up until now! This next month and a half is crawling by. I am so tired of stressing out about how I am going to survive and I am just ready to tackle it already! It's so exhausting just thinking about it. We have our double stroller, crib, and everything else ready...now we just need the baby! If only I could magically catch up on all of my scrapbooking I would definitely be ready.

cribs.

This is a picture from Valentine's Day. Bentley got a little horse from his Grandad and Grams. I ate lots of treats, we barbecued steaks for dinner and had more treats for dessert. I love Valentine's Day. Mostly because all the decorations are pink and red! And I love the treats! And I love my hubby who is always sweet but especially on Valentine's Day.

A few of you have been wondering what Bentley's room looks like with two cribs in it. It is one of those half rooms that is a little bit awkward, especially with such big furniture in it. So here are some pictures. Bentley's crib is on the left wall and the dresser/bookcase is on the right wall with the other crib kind of against the window (for now). Bentley was so excited to have his picture taken in his crib!

The new crib...it is dark brown and very pretty. We scored it on Craig's List! And the bedding is from when Matt and I made a bunch of baby bedding sets last summer when we were ambitious and going to start a company. It matches the stuff we have for Bentley pretty well.

manhandler.

Bentley "manhandles" his toys, not to mention other things. In the morning he likes to ram his head up against mine or Matt's heads, he pulls my hair, pinches our noses, and even pokes our eyes while he tries to play with our eyelashes. He recently threw his Slink dog around by the tail resulting in Slink's decapitation and ripped the tail off an animal in one of his books (pictured above).

He isn't all rough though. He gives hugs in the morning, gives kisses to me and his grandad, cuddles with me on the couch before his nap, and he likes to stroke his girlfriend's hair (Indy, she is the hot one sporting the bathing suit at the beach a few posts ago).

All of this roughness makes me wonder what it is going to be like when the new boy comes. I think I just might enjoy the two of them going at it when they get older. And I will have no problem teaching them how to stick up for themselves and fight. I won't be raising any wimpy cry babies! Bentley has already started taking his toys back from kids who take them away from him. Now he just has to learn not to take the other kids' toys.
