vacation is over.

So we are coming to an end of our 3 week break. Matt starts the most difficult year of the dental program and I will most likely suffer from insanity from this point on. Matt will be spending more time in the lab working on the physical aspect of dentistry which means he won't be home until after the boys go to bed. This sucks for me because every day around 3:30 is when I am DONE! Everybody else survives so I guess I will too.

Here are some more pictures from our vacation...

BROTHERLY LOVES.

During the break we made lots of trips to the beach, Ocean Park and Doheny. And we spent last Monday with Aubs at Fashion Island in Newport where we ate at Wahoo's walked around, and we even saw Kobe Bryant with his family. And I saw Charlie Sheen in the parking garage when we took the boys to the doctor. Which leads me to the subject of Gaige's size. He is over 17 1/2 pounds now and is in the 75th percentile for height and weight. A couple more months and he will actually look like Bentley's twin. Bentley is less than 6 pounds heavier than Gaige.

So it has been a great break spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, fun places and even having a few celebrity sightings. Goodbye summer! I am officially ready for hoody weather, puddle jumping babies and the craziness of a very busy husband.

vacation.

Finally! Matt has 3 weeks off from school. We started our vacation by going down to Orange County to celebrate Matt's birthday with his family. His mom and sisters met at his sister Carrie's home in Portola Hills to party. We had tons of fun. Bentley was amused all day by his older cousins and the Wii. And Gaige got lots of attention from his aunts and grandma. We had so much fun. I got to play scrabble, eat good food, and make another awesome cake. It was german chocolate with french silk ice cream in the middle and the coconut pecan frosting on top. Matt played Wii, made balloon animals, and ate lots of food.

How old is Matt? He is still a baby. I say that because I am only a couple months younger than he is and will be turning 28 in November as well.

We spent the rest of the week at my parents' house. On Thursday, September 4th my new niece Blake Emery Power was born. We went to visit her at the hospital just 20 minutes after she was born. She was tiny and only weighed 6 lbs 13 oz. Her brothers and sister were so excited to meet her. Sorry I don't have any pictures yet. I did get my new batteries in the mail yesterday so from now on I will be better at photographing everything. I will add some pictures when I get ahold of some.

We went to the beach, hung out with friends, and I even got to go to a bridal shower down in San Diego for my friend Molly from high school. We headed back up to LA on Sunday night and will be here a few more days before heading back to the OC to hang out with Aubs. We can't wait to see you, Aubs!

This week we are going to go to the beach, Disneyland, and Matt is going golfing too. We are trying to live it before Matt's hardest year of dental school begins in 2 weeks.

questions.

Here are some questions/comments that I hear often regarding my babies.

1. "Are they twins?" Generally this doesn't matter as long as you have 2 babies in the same stroller. Even if they are totally different sizes or even a different race people really are that dumb. Next time my answer will be: "Yes, but one is a midget."

2. "How far apart are they?" or "How old are they?" Along with this comment comes a face of disbelief and sometimes horror. Yesterday a lady in the mall followed my answer with this question: "Do you need a babysitter?" Ya, like I would let some crazy lady in the mall babysit my children!

3. "I don't know how you do it." Ummmm, thanks for reminding me that sometimes my life sucks. Sometimes I hardly remember how hard it is and need to be reminded. And really it isn't that bad. Usually men make this comment and then follow it up with a story about the one child they have that is 5 years old. Thanks for the encouragement!

4. "Wow, you brought the whole family!" We got this one last night when we went to dinner. What? Like we were going to leave one of them home? Give be a break!
